A story that every woman sees herself in
After years of putting herself last, one mother finally says yesâto a trip she almost didnât take. After thirteen years and a gradual shift in work and life, one mother boards a plane to Bali with her two daughters, carrying a long-delayed dream. It isnât a picture-perfect vacation. Plans donât always unfold as expected, and travelling with teenagers brings its own rhythm of laughter, negotiation, and changing moods. Yet between temple visits, ocean walks, and unhurried moments, she notices a subtle shift in herselfâless rushed, less concerned with getting everything âright,â and more willing to let the days unfold as they are.She doesnât return with neat answers. Instead, she reconnects with parts of herself she had quietly set asideâher ease, her curiosity, and the freedom to choose joy without guilt, even without having everything figured out.Written with warmth, gentle humour and an easy, observant eye, Bali Finally weaves personal moments with practical travel experiences, capturing what it truly feels like to explore a new place with familyâimperfectly, yet meaningfully. At its heart, this is a story for womenâespecially mothersâwho love deeply, carry quietly, and are learning that making space for themselves isnât indulgent, but necessary.

Caleidoscope Editorial Review
"Bali Finally" is a warm, engaging mother-daughter travel memoir that transforms a long-postponed dream into a vivid, uplifting journey. Rajani Angadi blends humour, emotion, and beautifully simple storytelling as she retraces the 13-year path that led her from a quiet yearning for Bali to finally stepping onto the island with her two daughters. Part travel diary and part personal reflection, the book captures the joy of planning, the doubts that slow us down, and the small triumphs of choosing ourselves after years of postponement. With its vibrant moments, practical insights, and heartfelt honesty, "Bali Finally" celebrates not just a trip, but the deeper adventure of reclaiming a dream.

Mountains, beaches, temples, serenity

The author is the mother of two teen girls and is somewhat invested in their happiness, though social media seems to play a big role here. All three of them find a kind of peace and serenity in their holiday and we experience it vicariously through them. I learned a lot about Bali and got a good sense of what a holiday there would be like. It's an interesting place, worth it for anyone to explore and experience.Customer Review2 - 5 stars
